Grand
Prix Standings after Event #5
4th
The penultimate event of
the year was held at
Patrick Thomas of Orchard
Elementary and his brother Simon Thomas of
Simon Thomas has a
comfortable lead in the Individual Grand Prix standings. Barring a disastrous last event, he should
have locked up first place with two back to back perfect scores. There are 29 players with a mathematical
chance of making it into the top 10.
There are 15 teams which
have a legitimate chance to place in the top 10 for the Team Grand Prix race,
and team participation will be key for those teams on the bubble.
The final event of the year
promises to be the most exciting and largest ever, with a very exciting photo
finish expected between Mount Horeb Elementary and Orchard Elementary for first
place in the Team event.
Also, upon completion of the
last event, all eight participants of the Tournament of Champions will be
confirmed. There is one more official
spot and one wild card spot remaining,
As I will not be able to
attend the final event due to my qualification into the US Championships, I
would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone good luck!
